San Damiano Crucifix
Category: Home Decor
The San Damiano Crucifix is a beloved icon of the Catholic faith, known for its connection to St. Francis of Assisi and his transformative encounter with God.
While praying in the dilapidated chapel of San Damiano, St. Francis gazed upon this crucifix when he heard the voice of God speak to him: “Francis, go and rebuild My Church, which is falling into ruin.” This moment marked the beginning of St. Francis’ mission to renew the Church and his journey of deep humility and devotion.
Our intricately designed San Damiano Crucifix captures the rich details and symbolism of the original, with vibrant colors and Christ at the center, surrounded by the figures of Mary, St. John the Evangelist, and other heavenly witnesses. Perfect for your prayer space or as a meaningful gift, this crucifix invites you to reflect on God’s calling in your own life.
Let this beautiful San Damiano Crucifix inspire you to embrace your faith and answer the call to holiness, just as St. Francis did centuries ago.
