Compare Our Lady of Grace and Divine Mercy plush dolls: symbolism, size, and price to choose the right Catholic doll for toddlers or a baptism gift.
Quick answer
Choose the Our Lady of Grace plush doll when you want a maternal, blessing-focused figure for a baptism or toddler gift; choose the Divine Mercy Jesus plush doll when you want a direct reminder of trust in Christ's mercy, especially for a child learning the 'Jesus, I Trust in You' prayer.
What each doll represents
The Our Lady of Grace doll shows Mary with open hands, a traditional pose of blessing and intercession. The Divine Mercy Jesus doll is inspired by the devotion revealed to St. Faustina and carries the 'Jesus, I Trust in You' message. These are different devotional focuses, not just two versions of the same toy.
Size and price trade-offs
Both dolls stand 8 inches tall, so size is not a deciding factor. The Our Lady of Grace doll is priced at $18.71 (compared with a $24.95 list price), while the Divine Mercy Jesus doll is $15.47 (compared with $24.95). If budget is the main concern, the Divine Mercy doll costs less; if you prefer a Marian figure, the Our Lady of Grace doll is the only option here.
Which one works better for toddlers?
Both are soft, handmade plush dolls from Little Drops of Water, so either is suitable for a toddler to hold. The difference is the story you want to tell: Mary's open hands invite conversations about asking for blessings, while the Divine Mercy image invites conversations about trust and forgiveness. Choose based on which theme fits your family's prayer routine.
Key trade-offs to weigh
